Copies of works in traditional woodblock print format, i.e., long and narrow with loose leaves. These are almost always orange in color and located on the Folio shelves of the appropriate floor (usually 8th). To make it easier on users, the loose pages have been glued on one side.

Brian Houghton Hodgson lived in Kathmandu from 1820 to 1843 and in Darjeeling from 1845 to 1858. He was the British Resident in Nepal from 1833 to 1843. During his time in Nepal and India, he amassed a huge collection of documents on multifarious subjects in a wide variety of languages.

Published from 1925 to 1963 in Kalimpong, this journal chronicles the most dramatic social and political transformation to have occurred in Tibet during a time when vernacular writing was relatively scarce, and a Tibetan media practically non-existent.

The Treasury of Lives is a "biographical encyclopedia of Himalayan religion", i.e., Tibetan and Bon.

The ITLR, planned as a digital platform for researchers from the fields of classical Indology, Tibetology, and Buddhology, is not conceived as a dictionary or encyclopedia, but is rather envisioned as a digital reservoir, which will be developed over a longer period of time with the aim of accumulating and storing varied information on a wide-range of Indo-Tibetan lexical items, and thus becoming a digital treasury of reliable Indo-Tibetan lexical data that will serve the broad scholarly community interested in Indian and Tibetan texts and thought.
