Emory FIRST Publications Guide

1. Emory FIRST will search the authoritative sources using the strategy listed under Search Settings.
2. New publications meeting the search criteria will appear in the “Pending” list weekly.

3. Pending publications can be moved to "Claimed" or "Rejected" using the respective options next to each record.

4. Publications incorrectly listed in the Claimed or Rejected lists can be moved to the appropriate list. 

Rejected publications remain in the Rejected list. This prevents them from being presented again as pending. Publications listed in the "Claimed" list will continue to update weekly with citation and metric information. Publications in the “Pending” list will not be included in profile summaries, visualizations, reviews or reporting.
