Emory Faculty Profiles

Automatic Claiming

Automatic claiming works by associating specific author details provided by authoritative databases or institutional email addresses with the faculty profile. As new publications are found, those linked to the database-specific profiles will be automatically reflected in Emory FIRST publication lists so individual review of titles will no longer be required. Automatic claiming profiles may come from Scopus, Web of Science/ResearcherID, ORCID, or institutional email address. Suggestions are generated from the author names appearing in the pending publications list.

From the “Menu” icon shown with three lines in the upper left corner, select “Automatic Claiming” under the Settings column.

Dimensions Researcher IDs, Scopus IDs, and Web of Science Research IDs are algorithmically assigned by each database to group articles based on author name, affiliations, frequent co-authorships, and subject areas. Some databases are more inclusive, and some more restrictive in making category assignments. It is a good idea to click into the suggest profile to review record assignments. Clicking on each ID will direct into the database profile for review.

Corrections can often be submitted directly to the profile database or contact Emory WHSC Libraries at Ask-A-Librarian or Research Impact Informationist, Kim Powell, for support.
