Emory FIRST Publications Guide

Step 1: Export from MyNCBI

a. Log in to My NCBI

b. Select “Publications” from your profile drop down option.

c. From the top of the next screen, select All publications in My Bibliography

d. Then click on “Manage Citations” and choose option to Export file (MEDLINE)

e. Note the location of the created medline.txt file

Step 2: Import into EndNote

a. Launch EndNote, or other reference management program
b. Under the File menu, go to Import –> File
c. When the Import File popup window appears, browse to choose the medline.txt file
d. Under “Import Option” select “Other Filters…”
e. Choose the Import Filter “PubMed (NLM)”

f. When returned to the Import File options, be sure Duplicates are set to “Import All”

g. Select Import. All My Bibliography records will now be listed in the EndNote Library
h. Files can now be exported from EndNote into Emory FIRST
i. Publications imported into Emory FIRST will automatically appear as “Claimed”
