I can't figure out how to connect it to my computer!
If the cables that come with the digital projector do not fit into a port on your computer, you will likely need an adapter. For a complete list of adapters available for check out from the Heilbrun Music and Media Library, please see the accessories tab.
Help, I can't get the sound / picture to play!
First, check and make sure that the cables are plugged into the correct port both on your projector and on the computer/tv/monitor you are trying to connect.
Second, are you using a VGA cable? Without an additional audio input, it will only play video (no sound).
Third, are you trying to connect an older (before 2010) Mac or PC? Some of those machines do not support audio through HDMI. You will need to use a VGA cable with 1/8" audio jack to route the video with the audio through the projector.
Finally, check the instruction manual for your model -- it may have a troubleshooting guide to walk you through other common problems.
If all else fails, talk to Classroom Technologies in the 217 suite of the Woodruff Main Library. They are across from the library service desk and can help you troubleshoot the equipment.

User Manuals:
VGA (Video Graphics Array) cables are analog cables that transmit only video signals. These cables are ideal for simple visual projection and carry video from most PCs to monitors, projectors and televisions.
HDMI (High Definition Multimedia Interface) cables are digital cables that transmit both audio and visual signals. These cables are the current standard for HD audio and video signals. Use this cable to send audio and video from some computers, Blu-ray players and HD game consoles to HD monitors, projectors and televisions.
If you need both audio and visual transmission, and all of the HDMI capable projectors are unavailable; VGA can transmit audio with an additional 1/8" audio jack. These cables are available separately from the Heilbrun Music and Media Library service desk.
Note: These digital projectors also support RCA cables, though the Heilbrun Music and Media Library does not circulate them. RCA cables are analog cables that transmit composite video (yellow jack) and stereo audio (red and white jacks) signals.
