The Citation Styles, Style Manuals, and Plagiarism Guide provides information on why you should cite your sources, plagiarism and how to avoid common mistakes, as well as a list of style manuals.

Turabian and the Chicago Manual of Style are often used by art historians in preparing their footnotes and bibliographies, but students should check with their professors to see which style manual is required for their course papers.

For suggested ways to cite Internet sources consistent with Turabian's style, see A Brief Citation Guide for Internet Sources in History and the Humanities
