Emory, its Environment & Sustainability History

An overview of most of the major moments in Emory's natural environment & sustainability history

Introduction

This guide offers an overview of the programs, policies, and events relating to Emory's natural environment and sustainability initiatives. It focuses primarily on the Druid Hills campus, founded in 1915, and does not cover the Oxford campus, founded in 1836. Individual pages cover major parts of Emory's sustainability and environmental history, and offer links to original documents, policies, reports, etc. whenever possible. This site is meant to be a starting point for further research and is not a comprehensive or official history of this topic. Please visit the Emory University Archives for more research materials.
