Including Library Resources in Your Course

Using Journal Articles

Journal articles are available from a wide range of range of sources, including.

As a best practice, we recommend linking to an article rather than sharing a PDF when feasible.

LibKey Nomad and the Emory Proxy Resolver Bookmarklet can simplify online access to Emory-supplied content if you and your students work heavily with journal articles and other electronic resources in a course.

For stable long-term access, consider linking to the article on the official journal website or on platforms such as JSTOR and Project MUSE. Large aggregated databases such as Academic Search Complete may lose access to journal content if their licensing agreements change.

Consider using open access articles, which are findable in the Directory of Open Access Journals and some scholarly databases.
