Welcome to the MacMillan Law Library and our library guide specifically designed for faculty support. Here you will find information about MLL library services, teaching resources, access policies, Scholarly Communications resources, and much more. Our library guide is still in development, so our apologies for incomplete material. We are working hard to complete each section with valuable information and will continually update each section as information changes. If you have any questions at all about this guide, the MacMillan Law Library, or any library services, please let us know via our Faculty Request form and we will get back to you with answers during normal business hours and usually within one business day.
Faculty Request Form
You will notice references to our Faculty Request form throughout this guide (https://emorylaw.wufoo.com/forms/z1fmlkhf04dvxvw/). This is the best way to contact the library with questions about anything and everything. The form supports general questions as well as specific questions regarding research support, document delivery, electronic course reserves, database training, purchase requests, and much more.
When you submit a Faculty Request form, an email is generated and sent directly to no less than four librarians' inboxes. It does not go into a "lawlibrary@emory" general email account, or populate a system somewhere that someone has to check regularly. The auto-generated email is sent in real time to the Head of Research Services, the Head of Access services, and two additional research librarians. If any one of these librarians are out for any reasons, a fifth librarian is added to the email list to ensure double and triple coverage and timely receipt of all faculty questions and/or requests hence making this the best way to contact the library.
