Course Reserves

How to access course reserves for Oxford College Students and Faculty.

Portable BluRay/DVD Players

The Oxford College Library has new portable BluRay/DVD players available to checkout!  These players are region free and will play all region DVDs/BluRay discs.

These can be checked out at the library circulation desk where the course reserves are located, and you will need to agree and digitally sign the Oxford Library Equipment Agreement Form

Like all the other physical course reserves, these can be checked out for 3 hours and overdue fines are $1 per hour.

Course Reserves for Students

Students will need to log in to reserves.library.emory.edu to access materials for your course. Your Emory NETID and password will be required.  Course reserves are visible starting the first day of class.  *Please note that not all of your professors/courses will have items on reserve.

You can also access course reserves via Canvas.

If you have any questions about reserves, please reach out to your faculty or email the Oxford Library Course Reserves at oxreserves@emory.edu.

If you are accessing course reserves off-Emory campus, you may need to log in to the Emory VPN to access databases. Visit https://it.emory.edu/security/vpn.html for more information.

All physical reserve items check out for a 3 hour period.  There is an overdue fine of $1 per hour.  Text 770-415-8963 to see if your item can be renewed.

  • Select My Courses for a detailed list of the courses you are currently enrolled.

  • Each course will have a list of all items that are on reserve.

  • Under Student Tools, you may search by course number, instructor name, title of item, or author.  This will only have results for your currently enrolled courses.

  • If the item is a physical reserve (such as a book, kit) please visit the Oxford Library Service Desk and give the course name, instructor, and item title to the staff member. (example: Eng 381RW, Professor Ivey, "Women Writers in America.")

  • If the item is an e-reserve, you must click on View Item in order to view the reading.
