Online Databases:

  • Play Index Provides citations to plays published individually or in collections from 1949 to date. Covers wide range of plays written in or translated into English, including one-act plays, pageants, plays in verse, radio or television plays, and classic drama.
  • Inter-play: an on-line index to plays in collections, anthologies and periodicals An on-line index to plays in collections, anthologies, and periodicals. This online database, created by the Portland State University humanities librarians, contains more than 18,000 entries for plays. It is easily searchable by author and/or title and it cites the PSU Library of Congress call numbers of sources for the texts of plays. Check Library Search to see if Emory owns the play.

  • Dramatist's Play Service Complete Catalog of Plays. Provides acting editions of plays and assists with licensing of performances.
