SOC 389: Gender, Society, & Health: Global Perspectives

Writing the Annotated Bibliography

In this class, you'll be writing an annotated bibliography to prepare for your poster presentation and extended abstract. Keep in mind three questions when writing your annotation:

  • What is it?
    • Cite your source and briefly summarize its important points.
  • How does it help me answer my research question(s)?
    • Explain how the source will be useful for your research.
  • What are the strengths and limitations of this source?
    • Evaluate your source. If it's a research study, pay attention to the methodology.
