Information about the Oxford Library Collections

Purpose of Collection Policies

The Oxford College Library supports the mission of Oxford College and Emory University in their work of providing a world class educational experience for students, faculty eminence, and a thriving academic community. The purpose of the collection development policy is to guide effective management and collecting practices of the Oxford College Library’s collections. This policy is based on the information needs of Oxford College community, particularly the curricular, leisure, and research needs of faculty, staff, and students.

As an institution dedicated to diversity of thought, this policy outlines the ways in which the Oxford College Library is dedicated to collecting materials from voices that both represent our Emory community and open doors to viewpoints not yet represented on our campuses.
