Known to be a prolific author, Jimmy Carter has also narrated several of audiobooks. The sincerity of his plain spoken ways shone though and President Carter was nominated for nine Grammy Awards and won three of them. Jimmy Carter won the Grammy Award for Best Spoken Word Album in 2019 for Faith, A Journey for All; in 2016 for A Full Life: Reflections at Ninety; and in 2016 for Our Endangered Values: America's Moral Crisis.
At 94, President Carter was the 3rd oldest Grammy winner. George Burns won one at 95 and blues musician Pinetop Perkins won at age 97. Two other presidents have won Grammys - Bill Clinton and Barack Obama.
