Visiting the Rose Library

As you learned in today's session, the Rose Library provides access to Emory's rare book, manuscript and university archive collections. You are invited to visit the library during your time here--if you do, however, we encourage you to reach out for help! The Rose Library has over 150,000 rare books and 1,800 manuscript collections, so finding the materials that you need and arranging for a visit can be overwhelming.

Want to visit Rose, but not sure what to look at? Schedule a time to meet with Rose Instruction Archivist Shanna Early. Shanna can introduce you to Emory finding aids and how to find rare books in the library catalog.

Already know what you want to see and just need to schedule an appointment? The Rose Library typically requires that appointments be scheduled 5 days in advance, so schedule time sooner than later! If you need to get in now and can't wait 5 days, contact Shanna. She may be able to help depending on the day.

For more information on Rose collections or on how to set up an appointment, you can also visit the Rose Library Website.
