Graphic Medicine is a site that "explores the interaction between the medium of comics and the discourse of healthcare. We are a community of academics, health carers, authors, artists, and fans of comics and medicine." Visit the Spanish language version.
The Graphic Medicine exhibition concept was developed and produced by the National Library of Medicine, National Institutes of Health.
This exhibit was organized by Sharon Leslie and on display June 2018 – December 2018.
Graphic medicine is the use of comics to tell personal stories of illness and health.
Patient’s experiences of dealing with the health care system and the insight provided by these stories
can give valuable feedback to health care providers and promote effective treatment.
