The following libraries participate in Emory's EDD service.
Faculty and Staff Only:
Contact the ILL office at mainill@emory.edu or 404.727.6874 with any questions or concerns regarding your request.
Electronic Document Delivery is a scanning service offered to Emory University faculty, staff, and students at no cost. If you would like a PDF of an article or book chapter that Emory Libraries owns in physical format, you can place an Electronic Document Delivery request. Library staff will scan and upload the document to ILLiad (Emory's interlibrary loan and EDD system) and then notify you by email when the PDF is available.
Note that not all Emory libraries participate in the scanning service to the same degree, so some material may be ineligible for scanning.
The copyright law of the United States (Title 17, United States Code) governs the making of photocopies or other reproductions of copyrighted material.
Under certain conditions specified in the law, libraries and archives are authorized to furnish a photocopy or other reproduction. One of these specified conditions is that the photocopy or reproduction is not to be "used for any purpose other than private study, scholarship, or research." If a user makes a request for, or later uses, a photocopy or reproduction for purposes in excess of "fair use," that user may be liable for copyright infringement.
Emory University reserves the right to refuse to accept a copying order if, in its judgment, fulfillment of the order would involve violation of copyright law.
