Women's, Gender and Sexuality Studies

Use this guide to find books, articles, databases, and other resources for research in Women's, Gender and Sexuality Studies.

How to Use this Guide

Books:

This section will show you how to search our library catalog and request books from other campuses. Because WGSS is such a broad topic, the books listed in this section are a small sample of the many books we have in our catalog. Come visit the library for help finding books on specific topics!

Articles:

When you want to research a topic for a paper so that you can cite peer reviewed sources, you will need to search in databases. Some of the ones provided are very broad, but some are on niche topics if you are sure of what you want to write about. Come visit me at the library for help on how to navigate databases or for getting ideas on keyword searching.

Find Websites:

Most of these websites are not intended as peer reviewed sources, but they can be good places to launch your research. There are many archives of LGBTQ+ and women's history online.

Cite Sources:

When you get to the stage of writing your paper, you can use these guides to help you do in-text citation, footnotes, and reference pages.
