  Requests and Recalls

If a book you're looking for is at Oxford College, at the Library Service Center (LSC) or checked out, don't fear!

Books that are at the LSC or at Oxford can be requested, and checked out books can be recalled.

In Library Search:

  • first sign into your account at the top right of the page (click the "Emory Login" link, and use your Emory NetID and password)
  • click on the "Physical Resource" tab in the book record.
  • click on the Request link for a checked-out book or one at Oxford. For a book at the Library Service Center, click on "Request from GA Tech"

  Interlibrary Loan

Using Interlibrary Loan (ILL), you can:

  • borrow books and more from other libraries
  • get copies of articles that Emory doesn't own.

You will be notified when your materials arrive. Most articles/book chapters take a day or two, but books take longer because they have to be shipped.

  Borrowing From Other Local Libraries

Borrow materials from local academic libraries!

Emory students, faculty and staff can borrow materials from the University of Georgia, Georgia Tech, and Georgia State by presenting an Emory ID.

They may also have limited borrowing privileges at some local libraries.
