Combines biographies from Gale Group biographical sources such as Biography and Genealogy Master Index and nearly one million biographies from Marquis Who's Who publications. In-depth profiles, thumbnail sketches, and full-text journal articles are included.
MAS Complete database contains full text for more than 540 popular, high school magazines. MAS Complete also provides more than 440 full text reference books, 85,670 biographies, 105,786 primary source documents, and an Image Collection of over 502,000 photos, maps & flags, color PDFs and expanded full text backfiles (back to 1975) for key magazines.
The archive contains a variety of materials such as documents, records, images, data sets, range and distribution maps, photographs, and slides (including insect, fungus, and botanical specimen slides) spanning from the 1790s-2000s. This content has been drawn from a variety of global sources, including the Centre for Agriculture and Biosciences International (CABI), The National Archives, Royal Botanic Gardens (Kew), the Commonwealth Forestry Archive at Bangor University, and the Ecological Society of America and the Royal Entomological Society.
North American Indian Thought and Culture brings together more than 100,000 pages, many of which are previously unpublished, rare, or hard to find. The project integrates autobiographies, biographies, Indian publications, oral histories, personal writings, photographs, drawings, and audio files for the first time.
The Treasury of Lives is a biographical encyclopedia of Tibet, Inner Asia, and the Himalayan region. It provides accessible and well-researched biographies of notable scholars, masters, or leaders in traditional Himalayan and Inner Asian society and culture who are deceased and who were native to the region. Content is enhanced by a dynamic map of Asia as well as bibliographies, syllabi, and other curricular materials.
The Si Ku Quan Shu, or Complete Library in Four Branches of Literature, is the most comprehensive collection of Chinese scholarship from antiquity to the 18th century. Its contents cover a wide range of subjects, including the classics, history, literature, philosophy, geography, politics, rules and regulations, economics, society, astronomy, science, technology and medicine. Note: This database is on a stand-alone CD-ROM.
