Here are some common components of newspaper entries in Wikipedia to get you started. Please consult with Dr. Salter to determine other components that she would like you to include. And also check Wikipedia's style guidelines!

  1. Lead/ Introductory Material - Summary of the most important points of the topic including Ownership, Headquarters, Circulation, Service Area, Etc.
  2. Fact Box
  3. History
  4. Coverage
  5. Awards
  6. References
  7. External Links

Biographical Entries

  1. Lead, For biographical articles, the first sentence should include the following: Name(s) and title(s); Dates of birth and death; Location, nationality, etc.) for the activities that made the person notable; the main reason the person is notable (key accomplishment, record, etc.)

  3. Biography [Early Life, Marriage, Children, Death]
  4. Political and/or Philosophical Views
  5. Published or Edited Works
  6. Honors/ Recognition
