SPAN 485: Feminisms in Argentina

This guide is designed to help the students in Dr. Feldman's Spring 2023 with their research.

Find Books at Emory

Use Library Search to find books, videos, government documents and THE TITLES of journals.  Library Search will not search for Articles.  Library Search's  Articles plus + feature will help find articles

Keyword Search: Use keyword searching on a single term or to combine concepts (X AND Y) and to search for particular words or phrases that might appear in titles or notes or subjects: See examples below:

SUBJECT HEADING SEARCHING

In the library catalog, books, videos and other materials are assigned Library of Congress (LC) subject headings based on their content. Here is a sample list of subject headings, some of which pertain equally to books and videos (visual materials).

Recalls and Requests

How to Request 

You may request items held by all Emory Libraries. You will be notified once the item is available at your chosen pickup location.

Please note that items requested from the Library Service Center and Oxford College Library are usually sent within two business days. 

To request an item from another Emory Library:

  • Log in to your Library Search account
  • Look up the item and open the item record
  • Click on the Locate/Request This Item
  • Click on Request Physical Item

Recall a Checked Out Item

You may recall items that are currently checked out to other patrons. Initiating a recall request will shorten the due date for the item to ten days from the date of the recall. You will be notified once the item is returned.

To recall an item:

  • Log in to your Library Search account
  • Look up the item and open the item record
  • Click on Locate/Request This Item
  • Click on Request Physical Item
