FYRE Guide to Research at Emory Libraries

First Year Research Experience Library Research Guide

Library Search -- Emory Libraries Catalog

Use the Library Search catalog to find books, journals (titles only, not contents), videos, cds and other materials at all the Emory libraries.

OR search Google Books, and if you find a good one that is NOT available fulltext, you can search for that title in Library Search.

OR search WorldCat, which has the listings of libraries all over the world. You can see which libraries near your zip code own the book.

You DON'T HAVE TO READ THE WHOLE BOOK!!!

  • Often, scholarly books are simply collections of articles by different authors!
  • Even when written by a single author, you can still focus only on the relevant chapters to incorporate research into your assignments.
