Some of these data sources are related to players and the game itself; others are related to finance and the business of sports. Explore these as a place to start - but you may need to search other places (Reddit, Twitter, etc) depending what data you are looking for. Get creative and ask Paige if you need help!

Free Sports Data ResourcesOne of the first steps in any analytics project is acquiring the right dataset. While much of the more advanced data (e.g. player tracking data) remains inaccessible to the public, there’s still a significant amount of free data only a few clicks or a couple of lines of code away. Includes R and Python packages!

What is Articles+?
Articles+ provides Emory users with access to millions of scholarly e-resources including articles, images, conference proceedings, audio-visual materials, books, and dissertations. Search Articles+ by selecting the header on Library Search or by following the link in your search results.
Library Databases
Since Emory Libraries have access to more than 1,000 research databases, sometimes it is easier to filter the databases by subject and choose a database based upon your research need. Simply do this by clicking on the "All Subjects" dropdown menu and click on a subject to narrow the results to the available databases that are within the selected discipline.
