What if the maps we rely upon every day as well as the maps made in the past are telling us lies? How can we learn how to look at maps and identify power, politics, and other factors motivating those lies?

ASSIGNMENT 

Map of Africa 3/27 2nd Library scavenger hunt assignment: 

  • Using one of the books you already retrieved, identify two additional books in hard copy and available in the stacks
  • Take a selfie of yourself holding the books
  • Using one of the books you already retrieved, find two journal articles 
  • Using Emory Libraries databases, identify at least five newspaper articles from at least two different newspapers
  • Investigate special collections at Emory and elsewhere to identify potentially relevant sources for your research project.
