Below are selected biographical books on topics such as notable social reformers, artists, and athletes. There are similar books on carts throughout the first floor for your use. Look up the Wikipedia articles for the women you find in these books. Do they need a further reading section (you can add the book in your hand!) or some other editing?

Biographical Sources: Archive collections

Archives and libraries often post finding aids or research guides on their websites that you can use to get an overview of a collection, including a biographical description of an individual.  The information in these finding aids can also serve as clues for where to look next.

Websites for Academic and Professional societies and associations often will have an Award Section or a Hall of Fame that you can search.

Adding to a further reading section

You can look up additional books to add for the women on your cards or any other entries that need further reading on Worldcat.

We often describe Worldcat as the "Amazon of Libraries." Once you've found a book, check to see if it is in the references or further reading list and if not, add it.
