Case Law

Using Westlaw, case law relevant to corporate governance can be efficiently located by using the “Cases by Topic” feature of Westlaw, then selecting “Corporations” or "Securities" and employing a keyword search. Results can be further restricted by selecting a specific state, the federal court system or a specific federal judicial circuit. Westlaw also has a Corporate Governance practice area pulling together primary sources and analysis relevant to the topic.

With Lexis, case law relevant to corporate governance can be efficiently located on Lexis by using the "Content Type," jurisdiction, and "Practice Area or Industry" tabs.
