Finding Books

Library Search
Search the catalog for books. You can use specific keywords as well as subject headings (look for Subjects in the left hand bar on the results screen or in the catalog record).

WorldCat
WorldCat searches the holdings of several libraries in the United States as well as many libraries abroad. It is the world's most comprehensive bibliography with bibliographic records representing information spanning 4,000 years.

InterLibrary Services

Request articles and books from other libraries around the world and have them delivered here to Emory.

Pro-tip: if you are researching a broad genre or era of literature (e.g. Victorian literature or eighteenth-century British satire), then check to see if there is a Cambridge Companion or Oxford Handbook for that specific genre or era. Often these guidebooks will have helpful intros that summarize the key points of your research area.
