Installing Zotero

Zotero will run on any operating system. Installation only takes a few seconds.

  1. Download TWO THINGS:
    • the Zotero program
    • the browser connector for your browser.

Setting Preferences in Zotero

To set preferences on a Mac, choose Zotero/Preferences from the main menu.

To set preferences on Windows, choose Tools/Options from the menu.

Preferences/Sync Tab

Use the sync function to use Zotero on multiple computers, to share references with groups, or to backup your library to the Zotero server:

 

Click the sync tab on zotero preferences. Choose create account. Create an account at the Zotero website. Then put that user name and password on the sync tab of zotero preferences.

Preferences/Advanced Tab/Find it @Emory

To enable the Find it @ Emory function in Zotero, add the following URL on the "Advanced" tab of the preferences box, in the Resolver field:
