Audacity

Audacity only requires a computer and a microphone to get started. The software can be used on both Macs and PCs. All library computers have the software installed, and the library loans out snowball mics for high-quality audio recording for 24-hours. 

Getting Started

Step 1: Download Audacity

Step 2: Download the LAME mp3 Encoder

  • The LAME mp3 Encoder exports files from Audacity as an mp3 file. (Download LAME)
