Mapping Census Data
- Social Explorer This link opens in a new windowContains U.S. census data from 1790-2010, updates from the American Community Survey, data on religious congregations, and more. Includes an online research tool designed to analyze and report on available information.
Public Opinion & Surveys
- Gallup Analytics This link opens in a new windowAccess the Gallup Analytics interface to search aggregated polling data from Gallup, which has been conducting opinion polls since the 1930s.
- Pew Research CenterThe Pew Research Center for the People and the Press is a major center for the study of public opinion and regularly conducts polls about various social and political topics and contemporary issues.
- Roper Center This link opens in a new windowThe Roper Center is one of the country's premier centers for polling data. Its holdings date back to 1935 and come from a variety of sources and cover a wide array of topics. While the bulk of the Center's data are for national polls, it also includes many state-level polls as well. There are also many surveys from outside of the U.S. You can search for surveys at the question level, and datasets for most of those surveys are available to download. Note: Each Emory user must register, using an Emory e-mail address, to download data. Users who have previously registered may need to register again, as Roper has recently updated its website.
