For this course, books are considered secondary sources since typically science books synthesize other scholar's research based on topic. Books can be useful to help with your own understanding or to provide background reading, but are not considered primary sources for this class. You could use a book to track down the primary research by reading the author's reference list.
If you do want to search for books in the catalogue, go to DiscoverE-.
If looking for both books and articles, it is best to use the Combined tab for Searching.
Emory's Interlibrary Loan service can get items for you from libraries outside Emory. Use the Interlibrary Loan service if you need an article from a journal that Emory does not subscribe to. The service is free!
If you are unsure whether Emory owns a particular journal or book, feel free to check with a librarian!
